our perfect baby girl...

Gianna had a baby wellness check-up scheduled today at the hospital.

They test for jaundice and test to see how much milk she is getting on average at each feed

(they weight her before and after she is breastfed)

Well...John and I took her in for her appointment and apparently they scheduled it wrong!

AH!

Our paper said Saturday, theirs said Tuesday....how annoying!?

That was annoying becuase they make you "starve" the baby a bit so that she is really hungry for the breast feeing thingy...

Gia was NOT a happy camper, and I felt so guilty and so bad for her.

So we get there...and they dont have us on the schedule. Uhg...

But they test her for jaundice anyways and her score is 0.

Which they said is VERY rare...

they said most babies at least have the tiniest bit jaundice.

But Gia has ZERO.

Then they weighed her.

She was born at 8.5 and when we left the hospital she was 7 something...7.8 I think.

(Babies loose weight after birth and usually take two weeks to gain it back)

well, they weighed her and she was 8.3. They couldnt BELIEVE it.

They said she is an over acheiver.

They were so impressed by her that they actually cancelled our next appointment because they said she is too healthy to be worried about any of that other stuff.

Nice!

So, so far she has wowed people with her...

oxygen saturation at 100% (which they say never happens)

0.0% jaundice (which they say never happens)

and has almost gained her birth weight back in 3 days! (which they say never happens)

So basically what I am getting at is....our baby girl is PERFECT!!!
