So last night was our first night at home.
It actually went REALLY smoothly...
Well...after we made the dogs sleep in the storage room....
Couple things about Gunner.
1) He is EXTREMELY needy
2) Night time is his favorite time. and he has never slept alone...ever.
3) He hates children...in a scary way.
So needless to say, John and I were a bit worried about Gunners reaction to our little Gia girl.
When we got home from the hospital he was AW-FUL!
We had to put his harness on just so that we could hold him securly.
He was trying his hardest to get a nice little piece of her. Barking, nipping, and drooling like he had rabies.
So last night we tried to let the dogs sleep with us, but everytime I got up to feed Gia, Gunner would be circling me like a shark and scratching me and jumping and trying to bite Gianna...
So I told John I had had enough and that both dogs were going to go sleep out in the storage unit. It was pretty sweet to see how upset John was about having to make Gunner sleep without us...but something magical happened...
Gunner barked almost all night long (our poor neighbors....) but this morning when we let him inside...he ran right up to me and Gia and started to lick her! He was just SO happy to be back in the "pack". Since then he has been SOOO wonderful! He is still REALLY curious about her and constantly wants to just stare at her, but he just licks her now and listens to us a lot better.
