Dutch Oven fun

Tonight we went to a park with some of our friends (the Weldons) 

they made dutch oven peach cobbler

While we waited for the cobbler to get done, the kids played

Gianna, of course, played on the swings and loved every minute.

 The cobbler took longer than expected so it was really dark when it was time to eat

so we pulled the van up and ate by the romantic lights of our van.

ha

Then we had ice cream

which of course, was Gianna's favorite part of the night

We love the weldons and always have a good time with them (they have 3 kids)

On another note...

John might start riding his bike to school because we are having some car issues

so last night he decided to do a little test run

it's a bummer that we live basically as far out of town as we can

ha

But he made it there and back in a surprisingly quick amount of time

When he came home he took off his backpack and I almost died

He had a backpack shaped sweat mark on his back and chest. 

hilarious
