feisty girl

Gianna is getting to be sooooo feisty.
I can hardly stand it.
She is the WORST listener and actually taunts me a bit...
an example of said taunting is when she picked up an old piece of food out of one of her toys that she had obviously hid there
(we have learned that this is a very common practice for her)
and i said, "No no, dont eat that! its yucky!"
She repeated that it was yucky and then kept bumping the piece of food up against her mouth while giving me this snide look as if to say, "look mom, im not listening to you! Isn't it funny?"
Most of the time, if i said, "Daddy, will you help me" or, "daddy is not going to like that you arent listening to mommy"....pretty much anything involving the word daddy, she perks up real quick and quits doing what it was she was supposed to be refraining from doing anyways.
But lately, she doesn't listen to either of us, and finds immense joy in doing so.
(I have to admit, the day she stopped listening to daddy was bittersweet for me. ;))

She has discovered the power of "No" also.
"Can I have a kiss?" "NO!" "Can I have a high five!" "NO!" "Do you need to go to sleep?" "NO!""Gianna, get down from there!""NO!"

.....*siiiiiigh*

Sometimes we have a hard time not giggling at her but...that usually feeds the fire, so we need to stop that.
