WSU here we come!

Well, as John has decided it is time to go back and finish his degree (or possibly two….) It is time for the “big” move, or maybe not so big…

We have been recently spending a lot of time in our car, driving back and forth between Spokane and Pullman. We are looking for any jobs we can find, and any cheap housing that is not filled with mold (that seems to be a common occurrence in Pullman)!! John had an interview with a local company and the job would be PERFECT for him! So everyone keep your fingers crossed! Molly has also applied to a few places so far (including nearly 20 dental offices) and so far she has heard back from the owner of a cute little local Coffee/Ice cream shop (The Daily Grind/Licks), they aren’t hiring until July but the owner seemed to really like Molly and her resume, so once again, cross those fingers!!

Housing…

So far, finding housing has been….interesting. We have had a few options to choose from but we have decided on a decent size 3 bedroom duplex and we will be finding a roommate. The landlord (Mrs. Woo) is giving us a steal of a deal because she looooves us!! She is Chinese and because John is studying Chinese and can speak a bit of it I think it intrigues her. She thinks it is SO cool that a “White man” from Spokane can speak Chinese…and she really likes Molly because she is so tall, has pale skin, red hair, and an “egg face” (apparently a beautifully shaped face to paint…although, she could have used better wordage!) So, because she likes us so much, she is willing to give us an AWESOME deal on this 3 bedroom duplex. If we could find a roommate it would only be 375 each….and for the size of this place, the fact that it accepts dogs, has a yard, and a washer and dryer…it’s a pretty dang good deal! She is even willing to give us a really cheap price just for us until we find a roommate, so hopefully we can find one fast!!

She is a very interesting woman who LOOOOOOVES to talk (seriously….calling her to ask one simple question could take a matter of hours to answer…..SERRRRRIOUSLY!). But she is very sweet and has such a kind spirit that its hard not to enjoy it!

Things feel hectic right now with the amount of decisions to be made in the next few months, especially with the lack of income, but overall we are VERY excited to be out on our own again, finishing school, working and living the small town life!!!!
